Hero MotoCorp began its digital journey with a Magento-based website and struggled to keep up with the demands of a growing, multifaceted distribution network. With limited support for integrating diverse delivery partners, Hero found it difficult to expand their digital presence and streamline their supply chain effectively. Hero uses Mystore’s built-in multi vendor ecommerce solutions and hyperlocal capabilities to seamlessly onboard all its dealers and create a modern, efficient and easy-to-use dealer-powered marketplace with efficient, streamlined and fast deliveries. Mystore’s feature-rich multi vendor solutions not only helped Hero’s dealer network spread across 17 states, to adapt to digital selling but also gave them separate admin to manage their end-to-end business including inventories, orders and fulfilment. The streamlined order process not only gave Hero’s buyers multiple vendors to choose from but also enabled dealers to efficiently and easily fulfil the orders they received online.
While selling on Mystore, Hero wanted a distinct brand identity and an online presence on its own domain. Mystore enabled Hero to set up its branded marketplace, connect its custom domain and leverage the open network to reach buyers across India. Additionally, Mystore provided a unique QR code linked to Hero’s dealer-powered marketplace, making brand promotion seamless and accessible.
Along with giving dealers their separate admin dashboards, Mystore also ensured each dealer got their own dealer page with a unique QR code to promote their products directly to their buyers. This gave each Hero dealer undivided buyer attention and helped them boost their brand visibility, simplify the buying process, and drive sales.
To manage a wide network of dealers across 17 Indian states, with many dealers first time experiencing the open network, it was essential for Hero admin teams to have a clear understanding of how the business was taking shape on a day-to-day basis. Mystore’s Seller Manager Solution for ONDC Network gave the Hero team complete visibility (business, inventories, order deliveries etc. ) and control of dealer activities while still giving the dealers complete flexibility to manage their business independently.
Hero wanted to show the products of the nearest dealers to its buyers to make deliveries cost and time-efficient. Mystore took care of this requirement by offering the unique Master Catalog feature which enables Hero admins to create a Master product catalogue which lists all products. Dealers could then add their stock for these products through linked listings. Each dealer could also set their location for where the products are available. This unique set-up made sure that buyers in location A saw the products from dealers in location A, while a buyer in location B would be shown products from dealers in location B. These products will also show up on the individual pages of both the dealers.
Hero has a diverse customer base which includes D2C retail buyers as dealers and distributors that buy wholesale and hence need a B2B sales channel. Using Mystore’s D2C ecommerce capabilities Hero successfully migrated its website from Magento to sell retail products to buyers. With a successful Digital D2C sales channel, Hero is planning to launch a separate B2B channel managed centrally from Mystore.
To reach customers and dealers across India and better target different buyer segments, Hero launched two distinct substores—one for D2C buyers and another for B2B customers. Mystore’s built-in multi-store feature made this possible, allowing Hero to create and manage both substores through a single central admin, streamlining operations while catering to each segment’s unique needs.
